We unlock cars and trucks but that’s really just a tip of the iceberg for us. Truth be known there really isn’t much that we cannot unlock. We unlock safes, we unlock vaults, we unlock 18 wheelers. In fact we unlock a lot of semi trucks. We also unlock homes and businesses.
Unlocking cars and trucks is really kind of the first thing you learn as a locksmith. What makes a really good locksmith is when you can service and install commercial hardware and residential hardware seamlessly.
When you can walk into a commercial space and install hollow metal doors, door closers, lever locks, panic bars, and all of the other commercial hardware that a commercial job requires that’s when you’re a quality locksmith.
A seasoned locksmith should be able to install any type of lock hardware. Especially residential and some of the new residential lock hardware is fairly complex. Now you can access your lock hardware from a cell phone just to make sure that your locks are locked eliminating that dreaded question “did I lock the front door”.
Also one of the perks that comes with the new Wi-Fi locks is the ability to allow access remotely. These locks work very well with Airbnb properties. Also if you should have a cleaning service or even if you were to go out of town and need someone to feed your dog or cat. These locks definitely give a lot more flexibility. They’re not cheap. They’re failure rate is rather high but they do serve their purpose quite well.
When it comes time to unlock cars, and trucks, even a semi truck, or a business these kind of things are simply automatic. Once you’ve been in the business for 25 years we can do it in our sleep, and without damage.
